You cannot have a dog or a cat in a dorm, but that does not mean that you have to sacrifice a love of animals entirely.
I have an obsession with frogs, so this option may be a little biased on my part. There are many different kinds of frogs and toads to choose from as pets, and some require more work than others. You can get African Dwarf Frogs, which are teeny tiny and fully aquatic. All you need is a small fresh water fish tank and some frog food to care for them. You could also get tree frogs or fire bellied toads, depending on what you like. Just make sure you understand the humidity requirements for different frogs, as they can get sick if your dorm room is too dry. That’s why I stuck with the aquatic frogs. They were just easier to care for in the end.
2 – Fish
Fish move around throughout the day, and they can be enjoyable to watch. They are relatively easy to care for. You just have to make sure to keep their tanks clean. You can’t have a giant fish tank in a dorm room, but you should be able to at least keep a beta or a few small fish in a 10 gallon tank. You can match the decorations in the tank to the decorations in your dorm room, and then the aquarium will feel like it belongs.
We aren’t the only ones that enjoy Halloween.
