Census data sliced and diced over at the WSJ let  you figure out which college majors have the highest and lowest rates of unemployment, as well as pay by quartile of those who do manage to find work.

The highest unemployment rate goes to clinical psychology at 19.5%, according to the data.

If you allow the employer to make the first offer, and it’s low, they may have successfully anchored the number in your mind. As a result, you may accept a salary lower than you would have otherwise.
